This pieces is a wonderful combination of the 400-year-old woodcarving tradition of the Val Gardena integrated with the modern influences of today and of the future. The respect for the tradition of 400 years and the desire to move into the future plays a large part of the shop of the Monte Maesto and these wonderful piece is the perfect interpretation of that philosophy.

The artist has deliberately left out any extravagant detail, therefore focusing only on the purity and essentialness of the figure. The woodcarving of the CHRISTIANUS with its strong geometric forms gives the sculpture a feel of fine art and designed style.
